EcoSmart XL900 Burner

The flexibility of being able to build a stunning fire into almost anywhere. Create amazing fireplaces with the flexibilty of an EcoSmart boethanol burner. Available in various shapes & sizes.

Bioethanol Burners | ethanol burners

The EcoSmart range of bioethanol burners is extensive, and they are all precision-engineered to be safe and deliver the best flames in the market. Their level of detail in safety is unmatched. Each burner is pressed into shape so that there aren't any welds to the corners of the fuel reservoir, which means that over the years of use and the constant expansion and constriction of the metal, with the heat, there are no welds to fatigue over time. With over 21 years of experience, they have developed a design that delivers great flames, which burn for long periods of time. It is no good to have a flame that will only last a couple of hours, as you can't refill bioethanol burners until they have cooled down.

The EcoSmart range starts with the angled VB2, a burner designed to rejuvenate a condemned fireplace where the flue has failed. Simply remove an existing gas installation and drop the VB2 in for a great flame. The VB2's design means that it fits within most register grates and baskets for the perfect retrofit. When you want a more controllable flame, there is the square BK5, which is renowned for its award-winning high flame. This is the one model in the range where you have a sliding mechanism to control the flame size. Then you have the AB range of circular burners, with the AB3 providing 1.7kW of heat for 8 hours plus, followed by the whopping AB8 with an incredible 6kW of output. Due to the level of output, this burner is supplied with an efficiency ring, which brings the output down to 4kW in order for it to comply with BS EN16647, which only covers bioethanol fires up to 4.5kW.

Now we are onto the rectangular burners with the petite XS340 for those spaces where you want the flame, but are restricted for space. The XL range then has the XL500, XL700, XL900 and finally the XL1200. These all have a long flap which is used to snuff out the flames, whereas the AB's and the VB2 have a lid.

Accessories

Each EcoSmart burner comes with all the accessories required to operate it safely. These include a lighting rod so that you can operate the burner from a safe distance without needing to get close to the flame. A lovely long lighter, again, so that you don't have to get close to the flame. You simply open the burner, dunk the end of the extended lighting rod into the fuel, lift it out whilst keeping it above the the burner, then light the end using the lighter. Once lit, offer the lit end of the lighting rod back down into the fuel to ignite the fire. To extuinguish the burner, extend the lighting rod and hook the eyelet on the flap and flip it into the closed position. Thsi will shut off the fire.

Also included, is a fuelling nozzle with a flame arrester installed to easily top up your fire safely. A fuelling adaptor which allows you put the fuelling nozzle directly onto the e-NRG 5 litre bottles of bioethanol. Depending on the model, there are also efficiency rings or baffles to help extend the burn time and reduce the heat output.

An optional accessory that you probably want to consider is the Top Tray, this acts as a secondary skin to the burner help provide thermal protection to the surrounding material. The burner sits on small lugs within the Top Tray to mitigate the heat transfer. It also acts as a drip tray for any accidental spiallages during refuelling.

Simple, yet elegant & NO FLUE REQUIRED

A bioethanol burner is one of the simplest solutions for installing a fire in your home or in your garden. No flue or air vents are required, and they are a 'drop-in' installation. All you have to do is fill them up periodically, and you have a beautiful fire table.
