The EcoSmart VB2 bioethanol insert utilises the benefits of the environmentally friendly bioethanol fuel to create a wonderful, natural-looking tall flame. With 2.5kw of heat, it is warming too. The VB2 takes 2 litres of bioethanol at a time and gives a lengthy 6 hours of burn time all without any soot, smoke, or carbon monoxide. So if you can no longer have a gas fire, the VB2 is the perfect solution. Whether it be that you no longer have gas available, or if your flue has sadly been condemned, you can still retain a real flame. The EcoSmart VB2 achieves a large attractive flame despite its small size. Its relatively small form factor makes the VB2 a very versatile burner. Designed to drop straight into your existing register grate or a fire basket, the VB2 just requires filling with fuel and it is ready to go, although it does also have bolts/feet to secure it should this be required. It is recommended that you first cover your existing flue, or close your damper to avoid drafts and any loss of valuable heat up the chimney. Using an Ecosmart VB2 Bioethanol fireplace insert means that you no longer have to pay for expensive gas engineers to come and service your gas fire, or sweep the flue as the only maintenance needed is a wipe now and then with a soft cloth. You can even put this burner through the dishwasher to clean it should you want to. The VB2 bioethanol fireplace is also economical and uncomplicated, whilst also producing a beautiful flame. Being the original Victorian Basket bioethanol burner, the VB2 has years of design built into it. This includes an internal design that keeps the flame high throughout its entire burn cycle, even as the fuel gets lower in the burner. This design also helps to circulate the combusting vapours, which is what generates such amazing flames. To turn off the VB2, simply replace the lid which snuffs out the flame. You can relight the burner whenever you like. The only restriction is that you can not refuel it until the burner has cooked down. The EcoSmart VB2 burners use bioethanol fuel which is clean burning. This means that it does not create any soot, smoke, or ash. It also does not produce any harmful gases, hence not requiring a flue. Using our e-NRG fuel will give you the best results, with a large odourless orange flame. This product is both sustainable and beautiful as the fuel is developed from the waste products of plants, and is, therefore, a renewable fuel source.
